These plasters are amazing. I had a really bad burn on my wrist. I went to the doctors who dressed it with paraffin based dressing which was so painful to change. I bought these and it healed so quickly. Bought some for my partner who is a chef and as soon as he burns himself he puts one of these on and the pain goes immediately and he doesn’t end up with a scar. Highly recommend

This product looks nice and well put together, when opening it, I had the impression there was a second sliver lining covering the hydrogel, the blue background with the glossy inner surface of the plaster had that sort of visual effect. Unfortunately, whatever the composition of the dressing is, it’s not really absorbing the moisture of the wound, and is not letting the skin breath, its just covering the wound, like using plastic food wrapping, it lasted 8 Hrs on me and it just trapped the sweat between the wounded skin and a wall of plastic pretending to be hydrogel. Other hydrogel dressings actually get that blistered look on the wounded spots.
I was not convinced, but I used the dressing over abrasive wounds, not burned skin… and they might work better on burned wounds?.

Great for burns, soothing and is helping my injury to heal. They don’t remain on as soon as you go in the shower but there are plenty in the box. I have bought another pack as I also think they will be great for blister prevention!

they are good but they don’t stick very well at all. I’ve had to put plasters around it to make it stick.

Considering these are around 57 p per plaster, the actual plaster quality is nothing special. In the EC, you can buy gel plasters intended for normal minor wounds, cuts etc, which are clear plasters with a patch of clear gel inside, which provides excellent wound healing properties, and they’re water-proof with strong adhesive – 1 plaster is supposed to last until the wound heals (in actual fact, they are good for around 24 hours on hands, including washing). I have been searching for something similar here, as am always cutting myself, find normal plasters really irritating, and don’t believe they really improve healing, just cover the wound to stop dirt getting in. I have tried blister plasters, but they actually do the opposite: the gel is to absorb moisture, rather than to keep the wound moist. The moist gel in the plasters I had before really seemed to help cuts etc heal a lot faster. I have even put them on cuts already slightly infected, where the finger was starting to swell up around it, and within 12 hours, the swelling would be gone, and the wound starting to heal again. I had hoped these would be something similar, which they are, partly, as they have a similar gel insert. It’s not the product’s fault they are not exactly like the ones I had before, of course, it says quite clearly that they are specialist burn plasters. However, for the price, the plasters themselves could be a bit more high-tech, I feel, so be water-proof and have better adhesive. These are like normal blue plasters with a gel patch inside. As soon as they get wet (not even hand washing, just rinsing a few things out and holding the finger with the plaster out of water as much as possible), the adhesive stops working. I knew they’d not be water-proof, just from looking at them, but thought they’d last a bit better than this – as they’ve made them blue to comply with health and safety, and have a master chef logo-like sign on them, this is bit ironic, I think, as bound to get wet in a kitchen. Have downgraded to 3 stars, as at this price, I’d really expect better adhesive qualities. The gel patch is larger than the normal cushion insert in standard plasters, so there’s only a narrow edge of adhesive around this, therefore, the adhesive needs to be far more effective than this. They are no better at staying on than cheap non-brand standard plasters, possibly even worse. Still, they will probably help wound healing, and would work well for blisters, if they’d stay on, which I doubt, especially if there is friction from shoes, I doubt unless somewhere unaffected by moisture, friction or movement, that they will stay on more than an hour or two based on my first use. You get 2 sizes, both are oval shaped, individually wrapped, 10 of 11 x 6.8 cm and 15 of 6.8 x 4.3 cm. There’s a use-by date, after which you should not use and/or if gel is dry. The gel inside is silver coloured and feels nice and cool on a wound, they are sterile until unwrapped, and as said, coloured blue. I am not sure the logo means that they are actually endorsed by Master Chef. though, as it does not say so anywhere. Overall, I think these will be useful to help wound healing, but will need replacing frequently, so will work out to be very expensive, plus it’s a nuisance to have to change plasters all the time, especially if you’re out and about. This is one of the things I hate most about wearing plasters, plus how unhygienic is it when the edges come unstuck, as they attract dirt badly.
