The dispenser is easy to use (but a little fiddly). The hinge isn’t very strong and don’t think it would stand up to much misuse – but is fine if used carefully. Ensure when you clip the bottle into the dispenser you clip it just at the bottom of the screw and not at the neck of the bottle or you won’t be able to close it.
Basically – just follow the instructions in the box and don’t force anything.
If your sight is impaired it helps keep the bottle away from your eyeball and if used correctly delivers the drop inside your lower eyelid.
All in all it is very useful (if a bit pricey) I am very pleased with it.

Bought for an elderly relative who needs to apply eye drops several times a day. She is physically incapable of tilting her head back far enough for this applicator to work correctly, she would need to lie down which is impractical for her. Disappointed as it is quite expensive for what it is.

After a recent cataract operation I thought the auto eye drop would be a good investment to help me apply the eye drops which were prescribed for 28 days after the procedure. Well maybe I didn’t do it properly or maybe the container for the eye drops was the wrong size but instead of getting one drop into ny eye I regularly got a stream down my cheek. I did persevere but without any improvement. Sorry about that but as I said maybe it was just me doing it wrongly!

My Dad is 91 with arthritis and he’s registered with a visual impairment but he does manage to get his eye drops in with this (unlike the Ezidrops dispenser.) My only concern is that the fastening tab which is released to insert a new bottle seems a little fragile so not sure how long it will last but for the £7 price tag it is well worth it (scroll through the individual suppliers as price is hugely variable.)
