I did giggle to myself as I unwrapped this multipack of eye masks and saw the words ‘surprise package’ followed by a list of exactly what was in the box immediately underneath.
This is quite a nice set of individually wrapped masks, but the finishing / packaging cheapens it and lets it down. Still, as a migraine and blepharitis sufferer who could really benefit from a warming eye mask and can’t afford the fancy schmancy versions of these things anyway, I was very excited to give these a try.
I wasn’t too keen on the sound of a green tea or mint scented mask, but jasmine is probably my favourite scent on earth, so I was delighted to note that the jasmine masks had the highest fragrance concentration according to the box (there are fragrance star ratings on the box, though sadly lacking consistency – some rated for ‘fragrance concentration’, others for ‘fragrance intensity’).
Each mask has instructions on the individual packaging and it all seemed very straightforward – essentially, you take the mask out of the packet, put it on like a sleep mask, and chill for minimum 20 minutes. Easy peasy.
I thought I’d failed at the first hurdle when I couldn’t locate the ear loops, but it turns out you have to separate them from each other first (see photo). The mask was already starting to heat up once I put it on my face, and it felt really lovely and soothing. I caught the faintest whiff of jasmine when I opened it up but absolutely nothing while it was on. So scent was very disappointing but the experience was lovely and very relaxing. I nearly fell asleep but then a hungry child happened. I think these will be especially nice while soaking in the bath or to accompany a guided meditation / listening to music. Another plus of these is that as they’re individually wrapped you can split them up as as gifts – I was already mentally adding the green tea ones to Teacher/TA gifts when I opened the box, but now that I know how absent the ‘fragrance’ is, I might keep them all for me!
I’m really pleased with these; it’s just the absence of fragrance and the overall ‘finish’ that lose them a star.

Firstly I liked the box the masks come in. It pulls out like a drawer and the masks are all organised by scent. The packets are easy to open but sometimes the ear straps are a little tricky. The mask is two fabric squares that go over your eyes and fabric ear straps that loop your ears to hold it in place. The self heating aspect takes a minute to activate but when it does it’s lovely. Really nice and soothing and it lasts a good 10 mins.
The reason I have dropped a star (because I actually love the item) is because of the scent. It’s non existent. The jasmine is supposed to be the strongest scented but it didn’t smell at all. The lavender was slightly better but even then it was very very faint. So I was disappointed with that aspect.

If your eyes can not take the essential oils just place it on your forhead as it still does the same job. Very well made. Seems durable but they have been easy to use leaving my face and skin feeling soft and fresh, makes me want to sleep and it helps me alot as I wake up to any sound, I like to have my peace and quiet or my mentality loses control where these help me to relax and makes it easier to stay focused and centred.

These heated eye masks arrive in a good box with 20 individually wrapped masks. They come in four varieties, mint, lavender, Jasmine and green tea. The aroma is not too strong. Remove from the sachet and ope the mask, there are two material loops to hook over the ears. The mask activates as soon as you open it and begins to heat up. It is a pleasant warmth and very soothing.
I have been really impressed as it didn’t just help with my itchy hay fever eyes but also the pressure in my sinuses. It felt as though they were unblocking and had less pressure in them. The masks stay warm for at least 30 minutes but i would say nearer to 40 minutes. I put one on each night at the moment and fall asleep in it.
For the relief they has given me, I highly recommend them.

These masks help me get a better nights sleep. They’re easy to use too! Just open up a packet, each mask is individually wrapped. Immediately after opening the mask begins to heat up and you’re ready to go. I find this warm sensation helps me relax and unwind before bed so I wake more refreshed.
Currently we’ve been having a lot of heat from the weather but when it’s cooler I love these. Another benefit of a hot compress is to help hydrate the eyes. We have oil glands on the eyelid that can become blocked. A hot compress can help to melt the oil blocked and improve hydration. Would highly recommend giving these a try!
