Considering this is a lot cheaper compared to the big name brands, I think this seems to work just as good.

I mainly bought it simply as a way of keeping a check on my steps and found out it that it actually has a variety of other options to use such as measuring your heart rate and monitoring your sleep pattern which I have found very useful.

A great product that I’m really impressed with!

Finally taking the plunge I bought a fitness band, thankfully Amazon had a near half price deal.
Negatives first… Opening the box I saw the charger cradle which needs to be connected to your own charger with a USB A connector. The connector cable is a pathetic 6 inches in length. What’s worse is the cable at the cradle end has a micro USB effort. Why not USB C?? At least then the user can employ a longer cable. So there it was, connected with the band on initial charge, dangling in the air.
Next – the box has printed on it a Q code to download the app. DO NOT Use. It is years out of date and I had no end of problems with update after update. The final one conflicted with the previous ones and the app wouldn’t connect! The problem was solved (Android Play store has banned Huawei thanks to Trump) deleting the app and then by googling ‘Huawei health’ (Honor is a subsidiary of Huawei) from the official site and downloading the current app.
Next – I like cycling, outdoors. The watch has on the screen walking or running outdoors. Walking or running indoors (treadmill) but no option to record cycling outdoors with out taking a smartphone and using the app.

Positives. Once the app is connected and the watch connected and synchronised (pull down the app home page to sync) all the information with your readings will be there to see. There are obviously options to input current body state like weight, body fat, age, gender etc.
Goals and targets can be adjusted and input and if wearing all the time, sleep patterns will also be displayed in the app.
If constant heart rate and sleep readings are required, the battery life will drop considerably from 15 to only 6 days!

Got this on sale at £16 directly from Amazon and it is certainly worth that price. I first had an Amazfit watch which was awful for accuracy and syncing to the Zepp app and I only kept it for the way it looked. I couldn’t be bothered with smart watches for a while then I decided to try this since it was cheap and had great reviews. Out of the box you will need to put it on charge to turn it on, the QR code on the box directs you to the app which is the wrong one. The correct app is “Huawei Health”. The watch needs a couple of updates which can easily be downloaded from the app.

The step counter is quite strict, it may not count a little walk around a room, especially if your watch arm is held up but going on proper walks outside the accuracy is great. The heart rate monitor can be constantly on by activating through the app and you can then check on there your heart rate throughout the day. The SpO2 can only be done by activating it on the watch and it seems good enough. The sleep tracking is very decent for the price, it may pick up sleeping time if you are just sitting or lying still for a while. But compared to my last watch it is a massive improvement. The app tells you the different sleep stages you go through during the sleeping time. I haven’t tried much of the workout mode, just the free training when playing Ring Fit and it does a good job of measuring heart rate.

For the extra features there is find my phone which allows you to track your phone if you misplaced it. You can pause media that you are playing through the phone, such as music or a video. The watch also can notify you when you get a text or phone call as well as app notifications that you can personalise on the Huawei Health app to pick specific apps. An timer can be set on the watch if you need it for cooking. The alarm can be set from the app if you need it for sleeping.

The battery lasts about 5-7 days and that’s with the heart rate monitor constantly on. There is no way it lasts 2 weeks unless you have it turned off for half of the day. One issue is after turning it off it can only be turned on with charging it.

Overall if it’s less than £20 there is no other smart watch better I’m sure.

I used this watch during my workouts and used most of the features throughout the day. The watch “monitors” sleep meaning it tells you how many hours you have slept and nothing else . The heart rate monitor is somewhat accurate . The screen is sometimes unresponsive which can make it frustrating to use but the battery life lasts for around two days at minimal use.

It took a little longer than I expected to set it up. Now it’s sorted it’s great. Love the different features and they’re easy to turn off and on. Just don’t seem to get the battery life it advertised.

    Simple but useful band.

I bought this watch for my 84 year old mother. It was a replacement for a Huawei fitness tracker – the band had broken and a replacement impossible to find.
This watch was also an upgrade from a green screen to a colour amoled screen.
Mum is only interested in time, date, weather, steps, HR and Sp02. For the price this watch comes with a decent choice of watch faces, is easy to read, decent battery life, good integration with the app.
DOWNLOAD THE HUAWEI HEALTH APP ON YOUR PHONE TO USE.
    Recommended for the price.

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter and it’s a great gadget for what she needs it for. Digital clock display for easy reading and she’s able to change the clock face to a design she likes. Not too sure the steps tracker is very accurate but it’s a great feature for her to keep an eye on and does encourage her to walk or run more which is never a bad thing. Overall a good product.
