Due to the hot weather recently, I’ve had to have a fan on all night and all day to relieve the hot flushes. The fans have been causing me really bad eye irritation and it’s been so painful, I thought I must have had some terrible eye infection and have been so anxious, as I’m screamish about eyes. My mum had been recommended these eye drops by her chemist and said they really helped her, so I thought I’d give them a try. I have to admit, it took me 10 mins to work out how to get the lid off of them as the instructions went into great details about how to unscrew the lid by placing one finger here and one finger there….when actually the lid just pulls off!!!! Once I applied these drops, my eyes felt a little better and less grainy. After 2 days, my eyes were back to normal and the redness and pain gone despite still having my fans on full blast. I now use this once every morning and it keeps my eyes hydrated and soothed. If I miss a day, I do feel my eyes getting gritty, so these drops definitely work. The drops can be used for up to 6 months once opened and as you only put just one drop in each eye, this bottle will last for months. I have glaucoma and these drops can be used so long as you wait half hour before applying your glaucoma medication. I whole heartedly recommend this product!

I was diagnosed with very dry eyes and my optometrist was the one who advised me to buy these. I’ve been using these drops for a year now, no more uveitis and when I went back for my yearly check up, no more dry eyes. Great product.

Good product, found it very soothing for my sore eyes. The dispenser leaves a lot to be desired. Can not use it yourself, fortunately the wife puts the drops in for me. So far so good. A sight for sore eyes!!!

I tried to use an alternative and cheaper brand but did not get quite the same relief. My Optician recommended I get back to using Hycosan extra as my eyes became extremely sensitive to cold wind and the sun. It does provide relief when used regularly specially in the coming winter months where the wind can be so cold and aggravates my dry eye even more. I can say that it does work better than cheaper brands. Takes a little bit of practice to be apply to apply this on your own but once you get the knack for it, it’s pretty straight forward.
