Nothing special in all honesty but they work and the cooling gel certainly prevents the burn from worsening, helps keep the wound clean, virtually instant pain relief.
So many people have first aid kits but many are devoid of burn gels. Worth every penny, other sizes are available as well I think, but please get burn gels into your first aid kits.

Brought these to top up my first aid kid and the ones i have expire in 2028
these that i have just brought expire in 2025 not very long so last clearing the old out.
