This is a bit pricey but if you use sparingly should last a year. This is the best shampoo I’ve found for my dandruff.

It’s not cheap and it’s certainly an acquired aroma but this is a product that delivers. I suffer from dandruff and as I cover my hair, this is a constant struggle. I have tried a number of anti-dandruff shampoos over the years and not had any long term relief but this seems to significantly reduce the itchiness between uses.

Very good and great price. Works fantastic to prevent dandruff and dry scalp, and works out way cheaper than buying it from the main retailer.

I noticed my scalp was a little flaky and dry, which is something that has happened on and off, i’d tried a few typical cheaper/supermarket type products that hadn’t really helped, having seen the other reviews I was hopeful, and to my surprise this product is actually very good, i’ve now bought my second bottle, my hair feels really clean, shiny and my scalp isn’t dry/flaky at all. The smell is a bit nondescript but not bad.

Before I stumbled upon The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, I had nearly resigned myself to a life with dandruff. But this product has been a true lifesaver!

What sets this shampoo apart is its potent ginger root extract, known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. From the very first wash, I noticed a significant reduction in flakes, and my scalp felt refreshed and thoroughly clean. Over time, my persistent dandruff issue has significantly improved.

This shampoo also left my hair soft and shiny, without stripping away natural oils. It lathers well and has a unique, zingy ginger scent that is refreshing without being overpowering.

The only slight downside is that it can be a bit drying for people with already dry hair. I’d recommend following it up with a good conditioner or hair mask for the best results.

On Tuesday this week, I decided to dye my hair to cover up the dry, sun-bleached straw interlaced with white hair that was my bonce. I was hoping to go to the original auburn of my pre-white-hairs days and carefully chose a colour from the store.
In my eagerness, I failed to consider how my straw-like hair would soak up that dye super quickly and that I probably didn’t need to sit for the full development time, and I ended up with a very dark shade which had quite an unnatural burgundy tone to it. It wasn’t awful, but it’s not what I wanted, so cameras went off on all Teams meetings, and I Googled til the wee hours in a hope to find a solution for what initially seemed like a permanent problem until my hair grew out.
I read (with mixed opinions out there) that clarifying shampoo and washing in the first couple of days after the dye had been applied can help. I initially tried washing my hair on Wednesday with a Lush shampoo bar that I had to hand, but it didn’t make an iota of difference.
    So I bought this shampoo.
I also read that conditioning masks can saturate the hair shaft with moisture thus diluting the colour.
I shampooed my hair enthusiastically once with this product tonight (Friday), and I kid you not, the foam took on a very faint burgundy colour. (This definitely wasn’t due to any dye that hadn’t been rinsed out properly from Tuesday, as I have washed my hair once already since then the day afterwards. And I was quite enthusiastic with that.)
I did feel like my hair was being stripped though with this shampoo, so I’d not want to be using this product regularly.
The smell is pleasant actually, not too strong and just the right level of zing.
I followed up with a generous dollop of the Ultimate Blends Hair Food Banana mask which I left on for a couple of minutes before rinsing it all out and then blow-drying.
The ginger and the banana combine to an unusual smell… it’s not unpleasant, it’s just a bit odd. But that’s a small price to pay.
The result was that I really feel like the burgundy tones have been lifted and that my hair is much closer to the tone I wanted. I’ve attached photos in the same light for comparison.
This shampoo has left the hair feeling and looking quite dry in spite of the hair mask, so I’m glad I only needed one use to get this to the tone I wanted, but I’m actually a little blown away at the same time that it only took one use, and that the dye was visibly lifting into the shampoo foam.
I’d recommend this as a first port of call for anyone in the same predicament as I found myself before getting the bleach or chemical dye lifters out.
