Not easy to get enough blood in the pipette, it got air bubbles and stopped sucking up. Result came upPositive to aneamea. Read problem solving that said if not enough blood in sample it may show positive. Had test at GP, result was low Feratin but not aneamic. I think if the pipette could be improved it would be more accurate.

I was feeling very tired and fatigued for no particular reason and wondered if my iron levels were low so I purchased this kit and sure enough my first result came up positive. I have been taking iron for just over 7 weeks together with doing my best to eat foods rich in iron and testing every 2 weeks. I was beginning to think I would never see that elusive second line but today it’s there, albeit faint. So I feel this test works and is well worth the money and I would recommend it. I intend to carry on taking iron to build up my reserves and will continue to test every 2 weeks

Very easy to use and comes with detailed instructions. I go in and out of anemia constantly and it’s always a hassle to have to go to the doctors and wait over a week for them to get the results. With this I was able to get the results right away and start my iron tablets immediately. Absolute game changer being able to do this at home. Will definitely be using again and telling my family as some of them also have iron issues.

First test was negative, so was second test after 2 weeks of taking high strength ferrous sulphate started supplements and decided to test again after all my fatigue, slugishness, constantly lying in bed, wooshing ear, anxiety, palpitations and a lot of hair symptoms started to show improvement.
Today there was a faint line i take it that’s an improvement. It took a little over 6 weeks.
The pipette is hopeless so i just dropped the blood straight on from my finger

Hey all considering purchasing this product,I highly recommend it,and it confirmed my suspicions that I’m anaemic ,after being vegan for nearly a year,despite being on iron tablets and molasses,I can’t eat greens for iron,as greens set off my ibs. The test is easy to follow,and I hope I can help guide you through it. 1)Take all the equipment out and read the instructions once through,so you have a good idea of the procedure. 2)push the orange rod firmly in,hold the sides of the grey box while you do this to not accidentally press the trigger to early. Then twirl the end of the orange lever round and round,while its pushed firmly in,and the end breaks off and comes out -bin that bit. 3)wipe your finger print area with the wipe provided,and place the lancet against your finger (with the little opening towards your finger),then press the top trigger and it sends out the sharp needle to poke your finger (it feels like a mild bee sting ,be brave❤ I know this bit is scary ) then squeeze your finger hard,like you’re trying to get rid of snake bite venom ! And the blood should pool on your finger.4)get the little plastic stick device,and place it under the blood,and just touching the blood,it should fill it up to the line,just keep squeezing your finger till you get all the blood you require. Then 5)squeeze the blood out into the small circle area of the white collection tray,and add 5 drops of the solution provided (only unscrew the blue bit of the lid only,hold the white lid still,while turning the blue cap) 6) wait 10 minutes,and see what your result is,the line is very faint,you have to look close,it doesn’t stand out as vivid lines,so if your a glasses wearer like me,get your specs on for an inspection ! My result is one faint(and I mean faint,the instructions show vivid red lines,the lines in actuality are very very faint) line over c ,signifying I am much to low in my ferritin concentrations,and am iron deficient,and probably anaemic. I knew this in myself, but to have my suspicions confirmed was great. Really recommend this product,and fab I can do this in my own home,no need for a Dr visit,and if I can’t sort my iron level out myself,then I can always visit the Dr in the future.
