I did some research on Hydro Whey and the benefits seemed to fit my lifestyle as I train 6/7 times a week for about 45 mins to 1 hour per day, recovery and bouncing back is pretty important and I’m also interested in lesser calories, carbs, fats and prioritising protein intake which this product does very well.
I have had the 100% Whey brand of Vanilla before and it was very pleased with it, both Vanilla and Milk Chocolate are top tier flavours so I was hoping that the flavours would reflect on this product as well but my judgement was incredibly wrong because this tastes pretty bad. Because of the lack of sugars they’ve added a ton of artificial sweeteners and went super heavy with the sucralose. I’ve tried mixing this with water or milk at the recommended ml amounts (250ml) but the extreme sweetness of the sucralose is hard to ignore. You sort of just have to push through. I have two shakes a day and there’s 40 servings in this so I’ve got 18 more days of this flavour before I try another one, but my expectations aren’t high!
All in all, the added benefits of this product and do align more with what I need, and I’m hoping to feel the benefits as well while I keep training hard, but the sacrifice for this is the enjoyment of drinking it.
You can get creative and start adding different things into it to make it taste better, a banana, peanut butter, or strawberries might be a good start if you’re set on getting vanilla.

Bought this as my usual protein ( Dymatize) was out of stock, again.
The flavour was pretty poor, very bland, even for Vanilla.
Expensive for what you get, wouldn’t buy this make again, sticking to Dymatize ISO 100, much better and VFM.

I don’t write review ever but I thought I will this time since this helped me a lot.
in general O.N. whey protein in good but my problem always was that I thought I was a little lactose intolerant and that is why all protein shakes would make me bloated and feel sick.
I can honestly say this dose not its very light and think formula even though I even put only 200ml of water instead of the 260ml recommended it still came out light the only way I can explain it is like making a milkshake with skimmed milk. I don’t feel the slightest bit of bloating nor feel sick.
The taste of the Vanilla is ok, but its very sweet I guess they use a lot of sweeteners considering the package says its only 1g of sugar per 40g scoop. that’s the sweetness I taste like stevia which I don’t like much but its not that bad its bearable and you will get used to it.
The price with all the discounts and subscription came to £47.24 which is not bad at all and if you have problems with bloating and nausea from regular whey protein go for this highly recommended.

I don’t often write reviews but felt I should to help others like myself who read them before making purchases. Bought this protein powder 4 days ago after reading independent reviews saying its the dogs danglers. Arrived quickly, well sealed, and safe. Use by date is 2022 so lots of time to use it, not that it will last more than a month with 40 servings, so good there too. It mixes well, fast and smoothly with just a shaker. It is not the thickest shake I have ever had, but that suits me as I don’t like them like smoothies. As for taste, its fine! If you are used to protein shakes I don’t believe it is different from any of the others out there (I’m no expert obviously but I have tried around 6 different well know brands and I don’t taste much difference) yep, it’s sweetener sweet and yep its an artificial taste, but as far as I’m aware, thats protein shakes for ya. So if you have read other reviews saying it tastes like utter poo and are undecided, I don’t think its as bad as all that, but then everyone’s tastes are different.

I ordered 2 but the vanilla flavor was very very bad test I used vanilla’s flavor before but this was very bad test I contacted Amazon but I didn’t get any help from you guys I threw it in bin end of the day I lost money.

I did notice gains in size and strength with this protein powder. It’s really easy on my stomach, gold standard by optimum nutrition is good but this is next level. It’s still hard to justify spending so much on a tub of protein powder but it is worth it if you are hitting the gym hard in my opinion
