Solgar L-Arginine 500 mg Vegetable Capsules – Pack of 50 – For a Healthy Metabolism – Ideal for Athletes – Vegan and Gluten Free
£8.99
- ✓ IDEAL FOR ATHLETES – Arginine is a non-essential amino acid, and although it can be created by the body, some groups of people can benefit from an increased intake. It is popular with athletes because of its essential role in muscle metabolism, helping the transport, storage and excretion of nitrogen. It also assists with generation and regeneration of tissue and is highly concentrated in the skin and connective tissues.
- ✓ AMINO ACID – L-Arginine 500 mg contains Arginine, one of the twenty classic amino acids involved in various pathways throughout the body. Amino acids can be further used by the body to create hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, antibodies and nutrient carriers. A suboptimal intake of the essential amino acids increases the body’s need for the non-essential amino acids either through diet or supplementation

I can’t feel the effects right away but I do feel like I don’t have to struggle to breathe or put much effort into this The tablets are fairly big but they go down smoothly and they don’t give me any digestion problems like going to the toilet. The box they came in the packaging was very good 5* for that.

Solgar is a trusted brand I have used for many years.
These are vegetable capsules. Easier to swallow than tablets and also I prefer because they have less fillers. Not to mention these are suitable for vegetarians.
What Are Arginine’s Heart Benefits?
In the body, the amino acid arginine changes into nitric oxide (NO). Nitric oxide is a powerful neurotransmitter that helps blood vessels relax and also improves circulation.
Some evidence shows that arginine may help improve blood flow in the arteries of the heart. That may improve symptoms of clogged arteries, chest pain or angina, and coronary artery disease. However, there currently is no data on how the long-term use of arginine affects cholesterol or heart health.
Since arginine may help arteries relax and improve blood flow, it may also help with erectile dysfunction.
There are other potential health benefits with arginine, such as possible reduction of blood pressure in some people and improved walking distance in patients with intermittent leg cramping and weakness known as intermittent claudication. However, the scientific studies are not conclusive enough for experts to make any firm recommendations.
Not all studies on arginine have been positive. A 2006 study showed that arginine was not helpful — and may have been harmful — for treating heart attacks in combination with standard treatment.
This is a supplement I have taken in the past and definitely found beneficial. I am about to start taking it again. I will update, hopefully with good news. I have many health issues though and I have to be very careful to monitor what helps. what doesn’t and what I am not sure about!
Recent stomach troubles meant I cut out all its and supplements until my stomach recovered a very bad virus.

I usually get my l-arginine supplements from Holland and Barrett, but because of the recent situation of social isolation I’ve had to buy online from Amazon,I searched a while for the right supplement and thought I’d give this a try.
Solgar l-arginine 500mg vegetable based, It’s an American product orginally, well presented in a glass bottle complete with cotton wool in the bottle neck.
I’m usually skeptical about any vitamin supplement working but the l-arginine I get from my usual supplier does work as I can noticeable feel a difference,I can’t go in to details but I get the same experience with this American product, I’m really happy with my choice and may actually continue purchasing if the lockdown continues,it is however twice the price of my original supplier’s price but for sale of convenience it’s worth it.
Came fast and well packaged from Amazon.

Solgar products are supposed to be good quality ones. However, these days I find it their quality is not up to standard, though the packings are excellent. L-arginine 500mg is a free form amino acid. But the label does not say how much of that will be available. Since it is free form the it will not yield the whole 500mg. My wife and I have been taking it for a few days now. But could not find any result compared to another brand I used to take that clearly states the yield. (E.g 750 mg free form L-Arginine providing 62mg Arginine per tablet). Since Solgar does not provide that information may imply the low quality of the product. To me transparency is very important. Therefore, in this instance I cannot recommend this product.

Bought for peri menopausal symptoms. I think they do help, although very difficult to gauge
